We have built our product Linkage to support corporates to be catalysts for change. We are adding an advisory and consulting division to leverage our own experience o to support those who desire to use technology to innovate.

Overview

Linkage is building a Cloud Advisory Practice. As part of this opportunity, five candidates will be chosen to accelerate our journey to provide Advisory & Consulting services through accreditation and certifications to enable the building and execution of this new offering.

The candidates will work solely on the program for the first three months to ensure the successful meeting of all milestones. By the end of 2022 the team will start engaging with other companies to guide them through similar journeys. The full program operates for 18 months, after which the team will be designated as Authorized Consultants.

Candidates will gain the following accreditations with AWS during the span of this program:

AWS Partner: Accreditation (Business)
AWS Partner: Accreditation (Technical)
AWS Partner: Cloud Economics Accreditation

The Candidates will gain the following certifications with AWS during the span of this program:

AWS Cloud Practitioner Certifications
AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certifications

The selected team will receive priority support and guidance from C-level management at One Linkage. They will be supplied with the environment and resources to succeed at this high priority project.

We are looking for an experienced Technology Consultant who wants to move into AWS consulting. This role requires experience in management consulting within the technology industry and to be service orientated. You will work closely with the other candidates as well as the Linkage team under the guidance of One Linkage’s CTO. This opportunity will enable you to lead a team of developers and other IT consultants.

Requirements / Experience

As a Technology Consultant this position is focused on your ability to see how ‘drive and report on the execution of all technology projects working with various goal owners to ensure success

General:

2-3 years working experience as a management consultant in the technology industry
Evidence of advisement and management of client infrastructure
Team Lead / Management experience
Exceptional project management and administration, managing program quality, cost and successful achievement of timelines
Strong documentation and communication skills
Able to produce project documentation at superior level
Strong skills in client engagement, meeting facilitation and client presentations
Comfortable with conflict resolution and mediation
Deep knowledge of service delivery in the technology industry
Good understanding and appreciation of technical design and business principles
A passion for learning and development, guiding others to build both business and technical skills
A passion for guiding delivery of both small- and large-scale projects
Possess all program management certifications with solid experience, PMBOK, Agile and other similar methodologies
Evidence for managing large scale projects
A bonus if you have AWS accreditation/certification

Expectations

Learning mindset:
- The initial phase of your position will be entirely focused on participating in the PTP and getting your accreditations and certifications. You will be expected to actively participate and manage your own your learning journey to be successful.

Consulting:
- Once accredited, you will be required to be customer facing in a consulting capacity. Customers will look to you to take them through the PTP process and ensure their cloud practice development and evolution.

- Security of client data is your priority. You will be privy to customer data that needs to be protected. You need to embody our client-centric ethos required to deliver the quality of service our clients have come to expect.
Communication:
- This is universal, you need to communicate effectively and timeously with the people you work with. People who depend on you should be made aware of your progress and any challenges you are dealing with that may affect them. Clients need to be kept informed and should not have to request updates.
- Ask for help if you need it. Be ready to help others if they need it.
Trouble-shooter:
- You will be in situations where you need to solve customer problems and blockages. Ensure that you set the right expectations and create the appropriate team to find solutions. The focus is providing value to our customers, not just ticking boxes.
Flexible work:
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and comfortable with communicating with team members and clients virtually using Microsoft Teams.
- Remote work is supported and the office in Johannesburg is available for on-site work and meetings.
Service oriented:
